These mandalas were drawn with felt pen by children in a class of first, second and third graders at the Montessori school my grand-daughter attends. I gave each child a piece of white cover-stock paper with a circle drawn on it. Before we began, I did a brief guided imagery exercise in which I asked them to find the light within themselves. I asked them questions about the color of the light and how it helped them. All the children had fun, and some did more than one drawing in the hour. They were then asked to title their pieces, which they really enjoyed as well.
