Artwork Workshops

I so love the art book. Thanks for the words of encouragement. It has been a long time since I have played with Mandala images and water color. I bought some new paint and paper and decided to read the book this weekend and here is what came out. The is earth filled with love. I had to start completely over from the beginning. I want you to know that the instructional portion on how to actually use the water color paint and duplicate the different techniques was very easy to understand. Everything you said to do worked when I tried it. I actually went through all of the exercises and jumped in and practiced. It’s my first one in a long time. The purple heart is a little smudgy, but it was fun and very relaxing. I had some alphabet stamps and added the words. I hope to take a class again.

Congratulations! WOW! What a wonder-filled art book you created. It is so professional. The writing, the organization, the contents are magnificent. You gave all your knowledge and expertise into creating this book. And most importantly, every page is filled with your LOVE, it is tangible you can feel it in the words and paintings.

One day my daughter came home with a beautiful book on painting mandalas. I was enthralled – it looked so exciting, warm and inviting! I dove right in, pulling out my watercolor supplies and began painting. I'm in love. Well, one day, months later, a friend invited me to attend a mandala workshop with her. I was talking with the teacher about the book and paintings, when the teacher began to laugh as she realized I was talking about her book. As you remember, the author was you! What a surprise! So, thank you for the book and your classes. I continue to paint mandalas with Carol every week. You are an inspiration, Michele!

Just breathtaking. Your work is an inspiration, I have found it taking my breath away as well as making me re-evaluate what the heck I am REALLY DOING or NOT DOING...

Michele's watercolor mandalas are an intimate expression of her very personal healing journey. I think this is why they seem like generous gifts to the viewer, in both beauty and spirit. Her work is wholly nourishing to see, and a holy privilege to own.

I find Michele's art to be technically exceptional and spiritually deep. When I say deep, I mean it in a way that takes me on a deep inner healing journey. Her mandala paintings mirror layers of ourselves which unfold under examination and reveal tender places within ourselves of wonder and creativity. I have used her paintings in my Guided Imagery groups for women healing from cancer and during treatment. Michele's mandalas have also been an inspiration for my own creative watercolor expression.

On my first visit to Michele’s class I experienced the healing power within me. Suddenly, I knew what to draw and my hand felt empowered. I had almost no previous experience – and realizing everyone has the same inner power – I began to teach others and have been doing it ever since.

Wendy Hawkins wrote this book about her experience of using mandalas in her personal healing journey through juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.

I told Lane Cara that if I had never met her and experienced her mandala classes, I would not have this gift to share with others. She, of course, then said if she had never met you and learned mandalas from you, then her classes never would have been. Isn’t it marvelous and powerful how we are all connected through this chain of teachings? ! I feel so blessed to be able to learn from you both. These mandalas have altered my life forever. They have healed me in so many ways. I love the idea of passing on the knowledge to others to continue the chain!
