COL Group circlesWhen the members of our mandala class heard about the events in Connecticut we wanted to do something. We began making small mandalas of love, light, peace and healing for the victims and families.  We took inspiration from the small “seed” mandalas we do in class which are painted mandalas representing our individual positive seed potential.  Like farmers and gardeners used to do, we exchanged our “seeds” with each other to “plant” in our gardens. (See Seed Exchange Project page 41 in my book.)

We decided to create a slide show of all the Circles of Love mandalas we made and post it on YouTube, sending out the love energy to not only those in Connecticut, but to all. That slide show is still in the making. Finally, we began giving away the mandalas we made to friends who might need them.

Join Us

Join us in this endeavor, and make a Circle of Love seed mandala. Before you pass it on, send me a photo of it for the slide show. It can be made of anything! Pencil, pen, watercolor, felt pens, flower petals, seeds, beans or anything else,. Use your imagination and have fun! All you have to do is visualize the intention of making a Circle of Love and the mandala will almost create itself. Mandalas are sacred circles which are usually symmetrical and always have a center. They are used for peace and centering oneself and are a very ancient spiritual tool.

COL Don blogSend A Photo

Send a photo of your Circle of Love to Michele Faia at mandalas@michelefaia.com for the Circles of Love slide show. And, in addition, Capitola Recreation Department, where I have been teaching mandala making for 20 years, is posting the mandalas on their Facebook page.

We Mandala Makers thank you!
